Moving Class
Moving class is a system that makes students have to move to the classroom based on the subjects (ex. Math room for Math subject and etc.). By moving class, when changing the lesson during the class, students
will move to
another appropriate classroom subjects scheduled
that had applied by SMAN 1 Probolinggo. But in my opinion,
moving class system in SMAN 1 Probolinggo
does not run effectively and efficiently.
Firstly,
moving class system causes the wastage of time. SMAN 1
Probolinggo’s building is quite extensive and students have to move from one
classroom to another
classroom. No doubt, this movement takes a lot of
time. In addition, sometimes
a few students do
not enter the classroom directly. They still come by
the cafeteria. This wastage of time causes learning and teaching process
is ineffective and inefficient.
Secondly,
the class cleanliness and regularity won’t be
maintained. This is because the students feel they have no classroom, so they feel
less concerned. It can be characterized by a number of graffiti on
the bench and sometimes the position of the
bench is left disorganized when
it was left. Sometimes students
also throw trash in
locker because maybe they think that it is
not their responsibility to
keep the cleanliness of that classroom.
Thirdly,
risk of causing loss
of goods. By the moving class, students
often forget to
take back their goods
are placed in
lockers until they
realized they had
lost their goods because the classrooms had been
occupied by the different
classes. This case of loss of
goods also can be caused due to lack of awareness of the students to return the
goods that were not theirs.
Fourthly, moving class sometimes causes misunderstanding
in each class. The case that is often happened is occupying the wrong classroom.
Classes that there is a misunderstandings should be swapped or one of them relented
and looking for another empty classroom. Moreover, sometimes there are still
some classes that did not find the classroom. It is caused because of SMAN 1 Probolinggo in the building
process, so there are some classes that are not functioning.
Fifthly,
moving class often causes energy waste. This
usually happens when
the seventh to the twelfth hour lesson. The last class usually leaves the
classroom in a state of electronic
equipment such as air
conditioning, LCD, and the
light was still on. This may happen because that last
class that occupies
the room thought that
the class will be occupied by the
next class, so they still let the electronic
devices on. This is one of the negative effects of moving class.
Reviewing
of the things mentioned
above, moving class at SMAN 1 Probolinggo
brings more negative effects than positive. So it is
better, moving class system is changed
back to the old system, which
is a fixed classroom.
